Fourteen-year-old Radio Station Owner Announces Fundraising Project

For Kids… By Kids® Studio to be Built in Albuquerque Area

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – August 24, 2011 – AM 1240 JENNiRADIO, Albuquerque and Rio Rancho’s #1 Family Hits radio station, has developed a fundraising project that allows members of the community to be a part of something unique. The For Kids… By Kids® Studio will not only be home to the station’s production facilities, but will also help put local kids on the air.

“In addition to the generous support of individuals in the local community, we are looking for local businesses who see the value in this project. They know communication skills are important. Kids from 7 to 18 will be able to come into our studio, attend a workshop about radio, and be a DJ for a day,” Jennifer says. “It’s fun for them, but they can also learn about the power of their own voice. This studio will give us a place to share our experience. We love being part of this community, and giving kids new opportunities.”

Interested donors can visit for more information about donation levels offering mentions on the web site and on the wall and individual items in the studio, among other benefits. Local businesses will also be participating in the fundraiser – look for posters on display in retail windows.
